With the earth being so moist from the rain, the rock dislodged, sending another larger boulder directly into his face, knocking him unconscious. Prior to this accident, Dőv had spent 20 years, meeting, studying and living with masters from a variety of disciplines and philosophies. His studies ranged from Ancient Jewish Mysticism to Gnostic Christianity, Vedantic Hinduism to Buddhist philosophy to the Course in Miracles and other teachings.

Dőv was put back into a second ambulance and sent to a second hospital for x-rays and treatment. By the time Dőv had reached the second hospital the x-rays showed that he had no broken bones from the neck down; however, his face was smashed beyond recognition.

For two years Dőv was never more than a thought away from absolute defeat. Many times he simply wanted to quit, but the burning desire to fulfill his purpose would not go away.
